Do you have a background in theater or public speaking? Are you a writer or editor who has a good sense of story? Are people hanging on your every word when you're talking at the dinner table? Volunteer to coach one of our live storytellers! Time commitment: 5 hours/storyteller.

Storytelling recruiter

Do you work in healthcare, or have connections to the medical community? If so, we’d love your help circulating calls for submissions so we can recruit a more diverse panel of speakers. Keep in mind, while we primarily feature stories from physicians, we also feature stories from other health professionals (e.g. nurses, physical therapists, administrators, social workers, chaplains). Time commitment: 2 hours/event.

Web design assistant

Do you have web design skills? Help us improve the look and content of our website and solicit feedback from readers/listeners. Experience with Squarespace required. Time commitment: 10 hours/month.

Fundraising lead

As we grow our organization, we are facing an unprecedented level of financial need. Do you have fundraising experience? Are you good at moving people to action? Help us identify and apply for grants, and solicit donations from donors and organizations who share our passion for storytelling in healthcare. Time commitment: 2 hours/week.

Have you ever started a company? Do you understand the ins and outs of how to start and grow a non-profit organization? We'd love your help as we try to ensure The Nocturnists is financially sustainable. Time commitment: 2 hours/week.
